FEMA In Da Hizouse!

On Sunday I was watching a 60 Minutes report on Homeland Security handouts and learned about how current system of funding for homeland security on a local level may be to loose. I was watching this report and then they mentioned how the federal government sponsored a program to create a rap for kids to teach them about emergency preparedness. First I didn't believe it was true but sure enough it didn't take long to find it. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) wrote this and posted it on the FEMA for Kidz website. A rap! So apparently someone took my suggestion of using rap stars to promote federal government policy a little too far. Here's the rap:

Disaster . . . it can happen anywhere,
But we've got a few tips, so you can be prepared
For floods, tornadoes, or even a 'quake,
You've got to be ready - so your heart don't break.

Disaster prep is your responsibility
And mitigation is important to our agency.

People helping people is what we do
And FEMA is there to help see you through
When disaster strikes, we are at our best
But we're ready all the time, 'cause disasters don't rest.

Written and performed by Scott J. Wolfson

You can also listen to the rap performed on the FEMA for Kidz website.

Ever wondered where little sea turtle guy from Finding Nemo ended up?

Ok, so I may or may not of kidnapped someone's turtle stuff animal, and may or may not flushed it down the Prentiss toilet. But in the end I'm getting a mocha out of it! Posted by Hello

I was cleaning some stuff around my desk and found my Iraqi Most Wanted playing cards. After looking at the pictures I noticed something, everyone on the cards look like they are from the "Burt Reynolds Bad Impersonator Club."

Don't you see it?!Posted by Hello

Link of the Day: Google Maps! Google has now come out with a special feature where you can get maps and driving directions using satellite imagery. It's one of the coolest things ever, I found my house on it. Just go to Google Maps and then click on satellite in the upper right hand corner and type in your address to see if yours is lucky enough to be in satellite photos.
